This article is so spot on its not even funny. A day does not go by without hearing the objection “the candidate has had too many jobs, that means they can’t stick anything out, so I will pass”. It frustrates me to no end because hiring managers fail to look into the details around why the candidate made the moves they did. Hiring managers are so quick to make generalisations based on preconceived notions that they are missing out on hiring some really great people. Then they complain when their roles don’t get filled and they fall behind on projects etc.
There is more in this article than just that premise, and I would encourage you to read all of it and think about the points the author makes, especially if you are a hiring manager or HR exec. Maynard not only get’s it;he gets it RIGHT !!
